Instaink Level check frequency

I use the Insta ink service however I hardly ever have my printer on. Obviously when it is off the service cannot check my ink levels. However for how long do I have to have the printer on for the service to do a check?

The printer has to be connected to the network in order to monitor the ink levels or the number of pages printed. If you're not using the printer very often, I'd suggest you connect the printer to network and login to your Instant Ink account to sync the printer details.
