Hello,

The black ink doesn't seem to work anymore, the self test print page just shows a bit of color in the middle but otherwise blank. The ink on the pages started to gray out until it seems like it jus stop printing black ink altogeher.

The Clean Smear and Clean Printhead procedures didn't seem to help at all. When I go to https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ the page says that the my ink supply should be sufficient (the printer is showing one little bar of ink left).

Any thoughts on what I can do?

Any suggestions

Hi @ureyes84,

 I'd like to help!

I understand you're facing a print quality issue.

To assist better-

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. load plain white paper in the tray.

  2. Print the report from the HP Smart app or the full feature printer software.

    • Mac: From the Applications > HP folder, select HP Utility. Click Print Quality Diagnostics, and then click Print to print the report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

  • Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
