Consistently keep having problems with Instant Ink Cartridges for officejetpro 6975: MISSING CARTRIDGE ERROR

 

Instant Ink cartridge is installed, but according to error message, it's missing.

 

Black Ink running low, I get message that says to replace cartridge, I do just that with the cartridge that arrived from Instant Ink and now I'm getting the missing cartridge error message, in addition to a new "missing" cartridge message for magenta that is still there, and that I didn't touch while replacing black cartridge.

 

No amount of readjusting, turning on and off, unplugging and waiting for at least 60 seconds, blah, blah, blah, helps.  Still get the same error and I'm unable to print something I was counting on printing for a meeting later today.

 

This has happened many times before - constantly have to scramble to arrange to print what I need for lessons - teaching elementary can already be challenging and stressful without the added stress of having to scramble to pay for expensive printing because what I already paid for (printer and ink plan) is randomly unavailable.
