What model printer do you use?
What is the error message that you get on the printer screen?
Are you able to bypass the error and try printing or making a copy on the printer?

I have an HP Envy 4500 e-All-in-one series printer. I have changed both the black and tri color cartridges and I still get a message that the ink cartridge needs replaced. I even took the ink cartridges back to the store and got new ones and still the same problem.

I also have a replacement black Instant Ink cartridge that shows a Cartridge Error 'missing or damaged' after printing a few pages. I have followed all the steps suggested by the Virtual Assistant (printer reset, firmware update, cleaning cartridge and contacts, etc.). I am concerned that the cartridge will stop functioning just when I need to print something important.

If you have tried with 2 sets of ink cartridges and the error persists, this could be a hardware issue with the printer. Make sure you have tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this document.
If the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

I did not receive a private message from you. My printer is an HP Envy 4500 e-all in one printer. The error message after replacing two ink cartridges is for me to replace the ink cartridge. I cannot print and cannot bypass this error.

I'm so confused. I thought Kumar posted on my post about the error message and that is what I was responding to. My problem was resolved by the replacement tri color cartridge sent to me and I haven't had a problem since.
