Has anyone looked into whether the elimination of the free plan is a bait-and-switch violation? Yes, the terms did say HP reserved the right to make changes, but we all bought our printers in good faith that the "free for life of printer" advertisement would be upheld. I sense a class action lawsuit is in store if HP proceeds.

I received an email from HP today that they will continue the free plan for existing customers. Late though, but I am glad they took this decision, as it would have damaged their reputation. And I believe the voices raised on this community must definitely be heard. Hope you all have received the same email too,

I didn't get that email. Would have been too late for me anyway as I cancelled my instant ink account 2 weeks ago because of the free plan ending.

Did not get any email from HP about keeping the free plan. I am not holding my breath, even though i was one of the more vocal critics of the bait-and-switch move. Anyone else got their free plan reinstated?

Don't make a mess of it!

I didn’t get any email about the free plan. Probably because I ended it. Too late now.. they should have just let it be how it was and then for new users make the change..

Didn't receive any mail about keeping the free plan for who is already a customer.

We'll see...

Pages that I've used for this month.... 9 of 15.... just to let you know how much I print. Oh also the last 5 pages were B/W coloring pages for my nephews.... so... printing literally 0.... x'D

According to my plan on the 21st of December (so 5 days left for printing the remaining 6 pages that I already know I won't print) it should change to the 0.99€ plan. With the old printer (always HP) I was spending lot of money on cartridges what eventually would dry out... now I have to "forcefully" remember to print something (possible with lot of colors) to avoid the cartridge to dry, since requesting new cartridges could seem like I'm "abusing the plan".

On a side note, the first tricolour instant ink cartridge died on me. It was probably defective/damaged on the flex cable/connector thing, the printer was giving me an error on the initial setup months ago, then it was working fine but recently it was not possible to print at all. They shipped me a new color cartridge and now everything is fine.

Yes, I received an email yesterday that my free plan would continue.... Glad that HP took this decision... otherwise for my super duper slow inkjet printer, paying a monthly fee however low is not good !! I bought this printer keeping in mind about the free ink plan!!

I got the email today. Glad HP took this decision.

I also received the "free plan continuing" email. I'm sure the ruckus we raised here and with the escalated help desk interactions helped them see the light. Hope you all get reinstated as well.
