Hi,
Please help!
Major issues with connecting printer to internet.
I used to have an app on my old laptop to control the printer (inks, cartridges, etc.). Then the old laptop completely died. My daughter's school have let us borrow a laptop for her to complete school work on for the time being. A few days after getting this loan, the internet router stopped providing WiFi, so the ISP sent us a new router.
New router=new internet ID.
I downloaded HP Smart onto the loaned laptop. It found the printer (possibly because I've connected it via USB before?) but won't allow us to do much as I need a password which I doubt the school will give to me. So I downloaded the app to my phone. My phone cannot find the printer because it's not on the same network. But I want it to be on the same network, and the whole point of downloading the app was to give the printer access to the internet!!!
So how on earth am I supposed to connect this printer to the internet when the resource used to do so can't find the printer because it's not already on the internet?!!!
I really need some help as printing is pretty essential at present!! 😞
Thank you all in advance.

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Please treat this as new router and use the following instructions to fix:
http://www8.hp.com/au/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/reconfiguring-system-help3.html
Please also note: Your printer may only support 2.4GHz therefore you need to check and allow your router to broadcast both (dual) bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.
Regards.

Hi,
Please follow 'Connect a printer with a touchscreen control panel' below to connect the printer to your new network:

Once connected, add the printer using HP Smart.
