HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer

I keep being told by Instant Ink that I've used to many pages, but everytime I try to log in to see my use I get the error code : authz.wpp.api.hp.com/openid/v1/error?error_description=INVALID_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI&state=eyJ0MSI6IjRjNmE3OTE5LWIzNzYtNDU0ZC04NjkzLWRlNjM0NzJmNTg5YSIsInN0YXRlIjoic2hlbGwifQ%3D%3D&error=invalid_request

I've seen it suggested that it's because my printer isn't connecting to the internet or my computer correctly, but strangely it doesn't seem to have any problems printing or telling HP what pages I'm printing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Garp,

               Thank you for a useful response. I always sign in from the HP Instant Ink page rather than a short cut, but your reply did make me think about whether the issue was my computer or the printer. So I tried turning the printer off and then logging in, which worked fine; so I then turned the printer on and used the resync key. Took a minute or so, but everything good now. Thanks Again 🙂

@JRCsuffolk,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That error message means there's an issue with how the HP Instant Ink login system is handling your session, specifically after logging out or trying to access your account. The "INVALID_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI" suggests the website is trying to send you to a page that isn't properly recognized.

  1. Open HP Instant Ink in a browser like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and see if it works.
  2. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try again.
  3. Open your browser in Incognito/Private mode and log in to see if that bypasses the issue.
  4. Instead of using a bookmarked link, go directly to HP Instant Ink and sign in from there.
  5. Try logging in from another computer, phone, or tablet to see if the issue is device specific.
  6. If nothing else works, resetting your HP account password might force a proper login session.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
