HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

MODEL NO HP ENVY PHOTO 7100 ALL IN ONE MODEL NO7134 HAD MESSAGE TO SAY THIS PRINTER PROVIDED A NEW SECURITY CERTIFICATE  ALSO  WHEN I TRIED TO PRINT PHOTO FROM MY MOBILE IT SAID BED CERTIFICATE SO CAN SONE ONE PLEASE HELP I AM 84 YEARS OLD AND NOT UP ON HOW THINGS WORK THANK YOU

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7134 printer is encountering a "bad certificate" issue, which may be related to a security certificate update or communication problem between your printer and mobile device.
 

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:


1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can reset the communication and sometimes fix certificate errors.

2. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. An outdated firmware might cause certificate issues.
  • From your printer’s screen: Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.
  • If there’s an update, follow the instructions to install it.

3. Reset Printer Network Settings

  • If the issue is related to network communication, try resetting the network settings on your printer.
  • On your printer, go to Setup > Network Settings > Restore Network Settings. This will reset the WiFi connection.

4. Reconnect Printer to WiFi

  • After resetting the network, reconnect the printer to your WiFi.
  • Go to Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your WiFi network.

5. Reinstall the HP Smart App (on Mobile) HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

  • Delete the HP Smart app from your mobile device and reinstall it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Open the app and follow the setup instructions to reconnect your printer.

6. Print a Test Page

  • After following these steps, try printing a test page or photo from the HP Smart app to see if the error is resolved.
