HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer

My printer is saying it is configured with a gateway address that cannot be accessed... It says to disconnect my router and turn off printer and try again... I've tried this multiple times over the last month and a half I've been having this issue. I have searched online and have found nothing or no other ideas to fix this issue. Does anyone know anything about how to fix this? It is messing with my instant ink information and I am just super frustrated since it's been months and ready to throw my printer out the window lol.

I'd like to help!

 

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue-

  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  7. Turn on the computer.

Try printing. 

 

If the issue persists, continue with the troubleshooting steps-

 

Assign manual IP to the printer

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers

 

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
