*No charge for a maximum of 700 pages per month during trial months*

Hi,

I recently purchased a new printer and signed up for 5 free months of hp ink... I am just confused here with one thing. When I signed up I chose 50 pages per month. But each time i open my status on HP instant Ink page to see how many pages I printed, I find on left side the phrase "no charge for a maximum 700 pages during free trial" ; then on the right hand side it says: "you have purchased 7 lots additional pages 67 out of 70"  ...   and in the middle circle for example "you used 50 of 50 pages"

So my questions is: If I print more than 50 pages do I pay for them or not?

Thank you for a prompt answer

I have searched everywhere on the internet and HP and although I fins others have posted the same question there are no responses to this particular query.

best regards,

@Rodome, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

If you had selected a 700-page plan during enrollment, you could print 700 pages each month for free.

However, as you chose a 50-page plan, you can only print 50 pages per month. Any additional page you print will be charged $1 for every 10 pages if you do not have any roll-over pages from the previous month.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Hi KUMAR0307

Thank you for your response. However after I had waited a couple of days for a reply on this forum I contacted HP Instant ink Support direct, and they informed me quite differently!  ...

"Robert, Thank you for contacting HP Social Media support. My name is Ankit. I will be your technical specialist for today."

I was told by Ankit that I would be able to print up to 700 pages for free. and this was after he looked into the details of my account and my informing him with the exact same question that I composed in my original text here on this forum.

So on the strength of that answer I went ahead and printed off several more pages. Now where do I stand? This is an absolute farce!!!

I look forward to hearing from you soonest.

Thank you for your help in this matter. I am dreadfully upset and annoyed that I get two completely different answers from HP personnel!

@Rodome

I understand your confusion. However, the fact I have stated still stands correct. That is why you are charged.

If you would like to dispute the charges as you were misinformed, kindly contact the Instant Ink department in your region for assistance. The contact information can be found on the home page of Instant Ink. Click here

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Hello,

If he upgrades in the CURRENT billing cycle to "BUSINESS PRINTING PLAN - for up to 700 pages" do he still pay for the "7 lots additional pages", since now he should be under 700 total printed pages? Shoudnt they (the extra pages) be moved to the middle circle, for example "you used 117 out of 700 pages {50 from prev plan + 67 out of 70 [the so called extra 7 lots (7*10=70)]}".

I wonder why no1 told the OP to up the plan, if what I said in my example question is correct. After that, he could move the plan down for next month or before trial ends to not be overcharged.

PS

Here's an Instant Ink Free Trial explanation (support shoud've use this, or link to it, as an answer):

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/HP-Instant-Ink-Free-Trial/ta-p/7037785

Basically:

"During the free trial you can print up to 300 pages per month regardless of the plan you pick (50,100,300).  If you pick the 500 or 700 page plan your free trial will be for 500 or 700 pages depending on the plan you chose."

And an Instant Ink bonus explanation:

Cheers.
