When I am trying to enroll my printer with instant ink in Canada I am getting a GCAG001 error, earlier my printer was enrolled in the USA in a different instant ink account. But there is no way to update the country so I created a new account . Did anybody else face a similar issue ?? and any help to fix this is deeply appreciated.

Hi @Quantam,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
This might require one-on-one interaction to fix the issue.
As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers who should be able to sort this out.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

I see you guys actually don't know how to fix the problem, All of you keep saying same thing reset to factory defaults but that is not solving the issue. I tried reaching out today after spending 1 hr with support, support person left somewhere in b/w. without solving issue
Why don't you tell the actual root cause of this particular error code :GCAG001 so that we can actually start looking at the actual problem,

Absolutely, encountering the GCAG001 error when attempting to enroll a printer in a different country with an existing Instant Ink account can be frustrating. The error often occurs due to the printer's association with a different country's Instant Ink account. Since the printer was previously enrolled in the USA, transitioning it to a Canadian Instant Ink account poses this challenge.
Creating a new account for the correct region was a reasonable step. However, adjusting the country association within the Instant Ink system might not be directly accessible or manageable by users.
To resolve this issue, consider these steps:
HP Customer Support: Reach out to HP Customer Support, explaining the situation in detail. They might be able to assist in disassociating the printer from the US account or help reassign it to the Canadian region.

Even after spending many hours with customer support, it seems impossible to manually order the correct ink cartridge to the new overseas location/foreign address and it is also impossible to register for instant ink, even after creating another account which is located in the overseas location. It seems the only solution is to get a new printer!
