Hi @Carl1229

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

That’s a thoughtful question. Before I can confirm whether powering on your printer remotely from a phone is possible, I’ll need to understand a few details about your setup:

  • Which HP printer model are you using? (For example, Envy, OfficeJet, Smart Tank, LaserJet, etc.)
  • Is the printer currently connected to your Wi-Fi network and paired with the HP App on your phone?
  • Do you usually leave the printer plugged in and in standby mode, or do you fully power it off with the button?
  • Are you hoping to wake it from sleep/standby, or actually turn it on from a completely powered-off state?

These distinctions matter because some printers can wake from sleep when a print job is sent, but very few can be powered on from a fully off state without pressing the physical button. Once I know your exact model and how you’re using it, I can confirm what’s possible and guide you accordingly.

Could you share those details about your printer and how you normally power it down?

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
