Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

My printer is broken and I want to buy a new one, but the new printers don't use the same cartridges. I have plenty of cartridges left. How can I make sure that I either use or return the cartiges or replace them with new ones? Do I need to cancel my subscription or can I just swap?

Many Thanks.

First step is to cancel the subscription to your defective printer that you don't use anymore. YOu will be charged monthly if you don't cancel the subscription. The unused ink cartridges you need to return, you can't use them.

When subscribed to Instant Ink you are paying monthly for printed pages, not for ink; the ink is free. Replacing the old ink cartridges is useless, because you will get new free ink cartridges if you subscribe the new printer.

Thank you so much for the prompt response. I was about to cancel the subscription when I ordered the new printer but HP just upgraded my subscription and changed it to the new printer, meanwhile disabling my old printer. My old printer is now redundant on the HP site. I just need to return the old cartridges. I hope I don't get charged additionally. Thanks again for your response 🙂
