Example:HP Officejet pro 6968
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP Officejet Pro 6968.I am on the Instant Ink program. I received a small blue and Plus Black ink about 6 weeks ago but neither of those has run out yet. Today the yellow cartridge went empty though with no notice from Instant ink. I have run out of ink on the program before  though and went and bought the ink at the store. I just finished downloading an update for my printer. I don't know if that is a fix. Any thoughts on the subject. Thanks ,kellerb43

Please sign into your account page to see if the Instant Ink service thinks you have yellow ink on hand as you should not run out.

Go to hpinstantink.com and enter email and password.  In the left navigation go to Ink Shipments and then look at the yellow ink section, you can click the arrow to the left of the ink to show more detail and see all shipments.  Also look in the Next shipments column and see if message is saying you have ink on hand or if it shows a recent shipment.  If it doesn't show a recent shipment you can use the virtual agent (shown along the top of the website) and type in "need ink" and follow the prompts to ship yourself some ink.

Please let me know if this has helped.
