Ive got an HP ENVY 6234. Ive tried removing web-services and adding them back in. that process works BUT I still get 'Cannot Print. Connect Printer to update HR Instant Ink Status' . is the HP Instant Ink server down?

This is really annoying as I cant print ANYTHING from anywhere. I've replaced the cartridges today, so I know they're Full.

.... and when I click the Instant Ink link provided in the Resolution email I get:

 

An error occurred. The connection timed out due to inactivity or the server is unable to respond.
Error: fa358db2-19c1-4a79-b3e9-be4a1e93d465
 
is the server down???

I recommend you click here to turn off the web service when done successfully, go ahead and click here to turn on the web services, and check if it works,

  • It also helps you understand what state your cartridges are in based on HP's data,  
  • Any issues will be shown with its solution using a step by step approach, to make it easier for you!

Please check your account page to see the latest cartridge information by signing into your account at "instantink.com".

Just remembered that when I recently did a software update of the printer, one of the steps (firmware, I think) was initially unsuccessful in install process (there was a screen that came up where I had to select the printer from the list - it had technical detail and a check-box next to it) I couldnt tick the check-box to then select 'Next' : only cancel was available..

To check for firmware updates on the printer, go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer > Check now

I have also sent a private message to resolve the Instant Ink connectivity issue, kindly check the same.
