I cancelled Instant Ink subscription last month. I now wish to remove my credit card details from the site but can find no means of doing so. Can anyone please advise the correct procedure?

@Dprint, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The below details should help you understand the cancellation policy-

Read this before canceling

You can cancel enrollment in HP Instant Ink at any time without penalty. Before you cancel the service, read the following information carefully:

  • HP Instant Ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you are required to return them to HP. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.

If you do not have the postage-paid envelope provided by HP, go to Recycle HP Instant Ink Cartridges to order an envelope.*

  • There is no pro-rated reimbursement for the remainder of your billing period.

  • Your service continues until the end of your current billing period.

  • If there are any charges for additional printing, your credit card will be charged. Depending on when you cancel, the charge might appear the following month.

*Cartridge recycling is not available in Italy. Follow local regulations to dispose of cartridges responsibly.

NOTE:

Your HP Instant Ink service cannot be placed on hold. If you must be away for an extended period of time and do not want to be charged for the HP Instant Ink service during that time, you need to cancel the service and then re-enroll when desired. If you cancel your account and re-enroll, all free promotional months and rollover pages are forfeit, even if you re-enroll.

The cancellation finalizes at the end of the current billing cycle when the final charge processes successfully. So, after the billing cycle, the customer data is not stored. also, during re-enrollment, you need to provide all the details again.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Thank you but I don't think this solves the problem. I took advantage of the 12 months free instant ink offer when buying the printer, this expired 11 April. I cancelled instant ink a few days prior to that and on 12 April had email and final bill from HP. This stated a total charge of £0.00. My printing for the final month was well within limit of 300 pages so there is no question of a further charge being due. The information you provided in your response, whilst helpful, states that customer data is not stored after the final billing cycle whereas my credit card information is still there. I am not suggesting that HP would abuse this information, but in this day and age I do not want to leave such data available on a site where it is not required. How therefore can it be deleted?

Thank you but this does not help. My credit card details only appear in Billing Information. I can delete the card number but not the start and expiry date etc. If I then click on save the system refuses to save this and credit card info remains. If I click on the selection button for payment by credit card i.e. select no means of payment, again the system will not save this. Whilst credit card details are not visible in Shipping information I have tried deleting all info there but again system will not save the changes. I can understand why HP ensure some form of payment method must be selected for Instant ink payments, but when that service is cancelled it must surely be possible for a customer to delete card info etc - after all it is their card and their right to decide who has that information. Hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong or come up with a workable solution.

Can you also help me remove the credit card details on my account as well as I have cancelled it and received the final bill already. Thank you.

I am pleased to report that my credit card details etc are no longer showing on my Instant Ink account. I didn't take any further action but it would seem this probably happens as a matter of course a month or so after cancellling instant ink or when HP are satisfied they will not need to claim any further money due.
