I would like to downgrade to a lesser plan but the update notifies me that I will lose my role over pages which I’ve already paid for. This is quite disappointing. Any suggestions?

@Latetodinner, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Managing Rollover Pages When Downgrading Instant Ink Plans!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're considering downgrading your HP Instant Ink plan but are concerned about losing accumulated rollover pages, here's what you need to know:

Plan Downgrade Impact: When you downgrade your plan, your rollover maximum limits will be adjusted according to the new, lower plan. This means any rollover pages exceeding the new plan's maximum will be lost.

Rollover Page Strategy:

  • Utilize Rollover Pages: Consider using your surplus before downgrading. If you have pending projects or printing activities you plan to undertake, now might be a good time to utilize your accumulated pages.
  • Plan Adjustment Timing: If you're planning a future downgrade, you might schedule it closer to the end of a billing cycle to maximize your rollover usage.

Upgrade vs. Downgrade:

  • Upgrade Option for Rollover Retention: If you upgrade your plan instead, you may have a larger rollover capacity to hold onto existing pages.
  • Immediate vs. Next Cycle Changes: When adjusting plans, note that upgrades can often be applied immediately or in the next billing cycle, while downgrades typically take effect in the following cycle.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
