HP 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A  friend bought my HP 3830 and is using my billing plan which ends on August 29. Since the cartridges still have plenty of ink, if she starts her own Instant Ink plan now, is there an option to continue using the cartridges instead of requesting new ones during enrollment?

Also, she inadvertently threw out the mailing container for returning the cartridges. How can she get a new one?

@RC6416, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

No, you cannot use the old Instant Ink cartridges on a new account. Once you create a new Instant Ink account, a welcome kit will be sent to you.

You may Order a Cartridge Recycling Envelope. Refer to this document to know how.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
