Hi @ann322,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Tango isn’t printing after you cancelled Instant Ink. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

1. Check if the installed cartridges are HP Instant Ink cartridges

Instant Ink cartridges stop working once the subscription is cancelled.

Look for a label that says Instant Ink or Trial/Subscription on the cartridge.

These won’t work after cancellation, even if they still contain ink.

2. Replace the cartridges with standard HP cartridges

Your printer will only work with regular retail cartridges after the plan is cancelled.

Install standard HP HP 64 / 64XL cartridges (non-Instant-Ink).

After installing them, restart the printer.

3. Power reset the printer

A reset helps the printer detect the new cartridges.

Turn the printer off and unplug it for 30 seconds.

Plug it back in and power it on again.

4. Reconnect the printer in the HP Smart app

If the printer shows an error or stays offline:

Open HP Smart → Remove the Tango → Add Printer again.

Make sure Wi-Fi light on the printer is solid blue.

5. Print a test page

This confirms the printer recognizes the non-Instant-Ink cartridges.

Use HP Smart or the printer’s built-in test page option.

I hope this helps.
