Hi, i have downloaded the app multiple times but cannot sign in. signs in fine on the internet but not on the app.

 

how can I log in? the app requests an email for username so cannot try that option either as it does not recognise a username.

 

it loads and loads and states can take up to 20 secs then flags the error and states contact support.

  • I hope your HP smart is having problem. Kindly Uninstall it and reinstall again in your IOS App Store. After reinstall try to login from your HP Smart print App.
  • kindly use the full-featured driver App from the HP Support site to print or scan from your Win computers, on an iOS/macOS device, you may use AirPrint.
  • Let’s try and uninstall the HP printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.
  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features & Select your HP printer and Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers. In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the “Windows Key + R” key combo, Type printui.exe /s and click OK and Click on the Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom and Select OK. Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers and And then reinstall the printer full-featured drivers from software and drivers page.

Hi this advice doesn't help for the phone app. No matter how many times you uninstall it, you cannot login in to the app via Android.

Had previously tried uninstalling all apps for HP Smart and this printer and failed. So I tried again after the latest updates to Windows and HP Update. This time the software downloaded and when I used my username and not e-mail to login it all loaded and works.

My backup was to go to the printer using my browser and connect directly to the printer at its IP address. Then the Webscanner app worked well. But now I am back to HP Smart and all is good.

I tired uninstalling and reinstalling HP Smart from the MS Store. The I ran it, logged in, and once again got (Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0100) . Can't they fix this thing???

So, Kumar, per your suggestion I tried "OJ8600_1316 Full.exe". It found the printer at 192.168.1.240, then after Next, it said:

I had first deleted old printer (HP OJ Pro 8600+), removed all HP 8600 apps, deleted and removed drivers using "printui /s".

This printer works fine from two other PCs on my wireless LAN, but I am unable to install it from this PC (Windows 10 Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1440)).

Can you help?

I'm disappointed. Just called (international) HP Support.
They even don't know this error code and ignore this forum.
Especially  if you have activated Instant Ink you even can't change the account. HP couldn't help yet,

I posted on this thread five days ago suggesting that anyone who can should return their printer before they're stuck with it. But it appears HP did not like my suggestion and deleted my post.

 

Again, I highly suggest to anyone who can that you return your printer before you're stuck with it!

That would be awesome because I lose connection and I don't even know it has happened.
