Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased a new HP printer that comes with 12 months free ink. I enrolled in Instant Ink. The first shipment just arrived. I got an email telling me I should install the cartridges. The cartridges that came in the printer are still virtually full.

Can I continue to use the original cartridges or do I have to replace them with the Instant ink cartridges?

I don't see anything on those pages to address my question. Can I delay installing the Instant Ink cartridges until the shipped ones run out?
