HP officejet 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Despite the fact that I installed new and original HP ink cartridges, an error message was displaying: "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged..." So I read that I had to do a semi full reset, which I did, by accesssing to the hidden service menu.

After the semi full reset, the display has gotten frozen with the error message "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged..." And ,in addition, when I open the cartridge access door the carriage does not move any more. It got stuck in the right corner. I have tried several times to update the firmeware, to reset the printer by disconnecting it from the plug and also have tried to access again to the hidden service menu. NOTHING IS WORKING. PLease help!

@chsl, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue, the fact that the display is frozen and carriage is stuck says that it is a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
