Hi @Pierluca

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

Let's try a power reset on the printer

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try the steps in the document --Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.

if the issue persists, contact the cartridge manufacturers.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

No ink from manufacture

None of what you have suggested works for me. Firmware blocks non-genuine remanufactured cartridges. There is a dinamic system which does not allow the operation of the printer. A nice rip off for all hp users. But I think it is not legal to adopt such a policy ...
I still await other solutions ...

Update the printer firmware-

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

The third-party ink cartridges will work. But there are many cartridges in the market which are refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.

Refer to: Dynamic Security Feature Affecting Cartridges Using Non-HP Security Chip

The only other steps we could try a complete reset on the printer.

I have sent you a private message with the reset steps, specific to your printer. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
