@Evel2, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Officejet Pro 9730e Wide Format Printer is stuck at the HP Instant Ink cartridge screen and cannot connect to the internet, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check the Network Setup:

  • Ensure that your printer is close to your network router to receive a strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your printer and that your network is functioning correctly.

Configure Wi-Fi Settings Manually:

  • Access the printer's control panel.
  • Go to the network setup menu and select Wireless Settings.
  • Use the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect to your Wi-Fi network by selecting your network name (SSID) and entering the password.

Reset Web Services:

  • Open the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the printer's IP address.
  • Check if Web Services are enabled under the Web Services tab. Disable and then re-enable them to reset the connection.

Firmware Update:

  • It's crucial to keep your firmware up to date. From your printer's control panel, navigate to Printer Maintenance, select Update Printer, and then choose Check Now for any available updates.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Use the HP Smart app to assist with setting up the network connection. Make sure the app is updated to the latest version to support your printer model.

Override Instant Ink Page:

  • Restart the printer by turning it off. If it's showing the Instant Ink cartridge screen, try accessing the settings via the control panel to bypass that screen to continue with the setup.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
