Hi @ortho_2015

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are unable to print the full page, However its only printing half and the full page printed on the second attempt. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Check Printer Setup

  • Make sure the printer is plugged into a stable power outlet.
  • Verify that the USB or Ethernet cable is firmly connected to both the printer and your computer.
  • If using Wi‑Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.

Check Paper Settings

  • Open the paper tray and confirm the paper is loaded correctly.
  • Adjust the paper guides so they fit snugly against the stack.
  • On your computer, go to Print Settings and confirm the paper size (A4, Letter, etc.) matches the paper in the tray.

Check Print Quality Settings

  • When printing, click Printer Properties or Preferences.
  • Under Quality Settings, ensure it is set to Normal or Best (not Draft).
  • Apply changes and retry printing.

Clear Print Queue

  • On Windows, open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right‑click your HP DeskJet → See what’s printing.
  • Cancel all pending jobs.
  • Try printing again.

Perform a Printer Reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug the cord back in and power on the printer.
  • Retry printing.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to the HP Support website. https://support.hp.com/au-en/products
  • Search for your printer model (e.g., HP DeskJet [model number]).
  • Download and install the latest driver/software package.
  • Restart your computer after installation.
  • Print a test page to confirm.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
