Hp Pen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought an Hp Pen and it does not work. I know it is compatible with my computer (Hp Envy), and I have tried just about every "solution" that I could find. I re-calibrated my touchscreen, uninstalled the drivers, and even contacted support. After over an hour of getting "helped" the support team just decided to send me another pen, which also doesn't work. Does anyone have any real solutions to fix the problems with the Hp pen?

@ThomasReady
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,. After reviewing your post regarding the Active pen, I would suggest you to update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP Support website, using this link.

I would recommend you install the latest HP Pen control: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80343.exe

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

If the issue persists, uninstall the keyboard drivers from device manager and restart the computer.

  • Please right-click on start>select device manager>Expand Keyboards>Right-click on the listed drivers and uninstall them. Then restart the computer and check again if the issue is fixed.
  • If it continues, please replace the stylus battery and check again if it gets resolved.
  • If it persists, please try to perform the prescribed troubleshooting steps from this link: HP PCs - Touch Screen Stylus Pen Is Inaccurate or Stops Working I hope this should do the trick.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

This sounds like hardware related issue with the HP Pen. Hence, I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
