Hi,
I bought a 951XL cartridge pack (legit HPs) at Costco.
When my current cartridges ran out, I switched them all for the 3 CMY I bought from Costco.
Bad surprise: I got the message saying: "One or more cartridges appear to be damaged. Yellow. Remove them and replace with new cartridges"
I then called HP tech support to know if I could get switch the damaged cartridge for a new one.
Another bad surprise: Even if the warranty date on the cartridge is 2018/02, I was told on the phone that since my Officejet 8600 is not supported anymore, they cannot open a case to change my cartridge!
Due to the cost of these cartridges, it is bugging me for simply going back to Costco and buy another pack. Also, I thought of going back to Costco for a refund but they will probably not accept my return since they will not be able to know if I used the cartridge or not....
Can someone help me with this?
thanks
Franck

The cartridges do have a warranty, and it is independent of the printer warranty. I will ask to have your case escalated.
