I know it's an old printer but I use it for scanning photos and docs to my computer. I recently updated my internet and my router password changed for wifi. Since I don't print with the printer, it has no cartridges in it. The LED screen is stuck permanently on the the "There are no cartridges in the printer" exclamation and it won't cancel, go back or change to any other settings or menu dialogue. So now I can't connect to my computer. Once it was on the network, I would send all the commands from the HP software interface. But I can't even do that because the network won't see it. Anyone remember how to bypass that screen and get to setup menu?

Welcome to HP support community.
You will have to insert the cartridge and complete the setup.
There is no option to bypass the this error screen and use the printer for scanning.
I hope that helps.
