Can I install the software wirelessly or must I plug a USB cale in between the printer and the laptop?

Thank you so much! Installing the basic drivers worked! I have my 5X7 picture printed out right here and it's perfect! I truly appreciate it and I hope that others who must be having this same problem will find their way here.

So I shouldn't install any updated software for this printer, is that correct? The newer drivers were the issue?

Thank you so much again for sticking with the problem until it was fixed!

Hello, @LIRN

Thanks for the update & Great stuff! Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue 🙂

You can perform any printer update which comes on its way. The driver package which we installed is the updated package. The basic driver only means that it does not include some components like HP help, HP shopping etc. But the printing and scanning driver is the same.

Thank you again and may you also have a great day and even better tomorrow 🙂

I have been having the same problem as the original poster. I have followed all the instructions through the hard reset and just like them, I have not had any luck fixing the issue. I see that a special download of drivers solved the poster's problem, but I am using a mac (10.13.6) and the driver link is for windows systems. How can I get mac drivers that fix this issue?
