remanufactured cartridges

I have standardized my stations on the 8710 for all printing/scanning usage.  The older printers have no problem using remanufactured ink cartridges.  The last 3 new 8710's I've purchased will not use any remanufactured ink cartridge.  Are there any settings I can change to allow for their use, or am I going to choose another brand of printer?  I currently have over 30 of these printers.  OEM cartridges would be cost prohibitive with the amount of printing each station does, when the remanufactured cartridges are less than 1/3 the cost of OEM.

If you have not done so, update the printer firmware.

HP Officejet Pro 8710/8720 Firmware Update

After the update is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

If you have previously updated the firmware to the latest version:

• Try different remanufactured cartridges
• Use HP genuine products (ink / paper) in your HP printer

or

• Consider purchasing a different printer model / brand / series

NOTES

• "Remanufactured" products are generally tolerated (assuming the firmware is updated on this model).
• Non-HP products, including Non-HP ink cartridges are not guaranteed to work and their use is not supported.
• Use your favorite search engine for more information on the subject.  For example, search for "hp printer remanufactured ink cartridge error".
