Hello

My printer refuses to print 'horizontally' . I've put this in brackets because I don't know  the technical word.( there must be one.)

Everything is printed   'upright' even if I order ' horizontally'  it always ends up ' vertically' .

Who knows what I am doing wrong ?

Greetings

Peter.

Hi Peter,

If you can print ok using wordpad, then it' s not a printer driver issue or something that I can help with.

I suggest you try the Libre office forum for help with your issue.

Hi,

I think what your after are the settings for landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical). You should be able to find these in your print preferences and will the option to select either.

For photos you usually match the orietation of the photo or else some cropping will occur but you have the option for either.

Hello Donal

Thanks for the appropiate terms, but I' m not a complete idiot. Ofcourse I've tried  those   options, but it simply doesn't work.

Whenever I opt for 'landscape' , I get ' portrait'.  Apparently, it isn't  an uncommon problem, but I have not been able to find a solution.

Hello Donal

You were right. It is 4504. But that doesn't matter it still doesn't work.

And now after installing software updates my computer can't find my printer anymore. (WIFI)

Hi,

You may need to open your printer tab in the control panel and check that you still have your chosen printer as your default. Also double check that the printer is still connected to your home wifi.

Just to clarify - you are selecting landscape in the option highlighted below but getting a portrait output? Are you printing a photo image or document?
