Our wifi at work is extremely slow and the technician who came out told us that we have a router with 5GHz capabilities. My boss is wondering if our PCs will support an upgrade on the network card before we spend the money to do so. Is there anywhere that can tell me which cards are compatible with our PCs? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

Hi John, I understand that you want to upgrade the wireless card on your computer and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!

You can go ahead and upgrade the wireless card on your computer. However, HP doesn’t recommend changing hardware components on the computer as it may void the factory warranty.

I have included the link below for the terms and condition of factory warranty.

Please let me know if you need any more information.
