I have a trusty HP 1536 MFP. Can I acquire a card to upgrade this model to network print with it?
It is NOT the DNF model.
Does HP have a card that you can upgrade this unti "after sale"?

Hi@MrSludge,
Thanks for the response.
If you have seen the Ethernet port in the back of the printer, then the printer is wired network capable. And most of the laser jets from HP are network capable.
Hope the information shared will help you. Please share for more.

Hello@MrSludge,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.
I understand that you need assistance in getting a card to make your printer network compatible. Did I get it, right?
There are no such options for any HP Printers. Either the printer has to be provided with network card or else, it cannot be upgraded.
Hope this answers the question. Please let me know more.

This printer only came in DNF model so yours has to have network connectivity. In fact if you look at the service manual the formatter only has one part number which has the network port integrated into the board. Tell us the exact model number such as CE538A.

Yep, that ethernet port was looking right at me! For some reason I assumed it was the fax connection for the MFP Fax function.
Now, that this thing can be networked, I don't have a wired connection anywhere close to its location. What do I need to plug into this port to make it connect via WiFi into my home network? I have AT&T UVerse and it has a "Residential Gateway" that emits the WiFi signal in the house. I'm assuming that the residential gateway is the local router for the system.

Thanks for the reply.
Based on the information available, your printer does not have wireless capability and wireless capability cannot be added to the printer.
If you have the router provided by AT&T close by or if you can place the printer near the router, you can connect the printer to the router using the ethernet port.
Based on the operating system installed on your computer, you can refer to the printer manual for the procedure.
If you could help me with the operating system installed on your computer, I would be glad to help you with the setup instructions as well.
Let me know if this helped.
