Hello.

Intermittent printing error.  Happens in all software that I print from.  Happens both with single and double sided pages.

It will print several pages just fine (including duplex if that's what I set), then it shows the error and will only print a portion of whatever page is in process.

I have posted a picture of the Event Log showing the error.

I also get an error on the touch screen showing "Engine Error"

Any help is appreciated.

For this printer all I can suggest is to try another toner cartridge. If it happens with another toner, then it is possible the laser/scanner has an issue.

I'm having the same issue with an m401n ,  have you tried switching the toner cartridge?  I'm wondering if that fixed the problem if I should keep searching for the problem.

Thanks,

Did you ever find out what the problem was and how to fix it?

This error is caused by either a loose connection between the scanner and the control board or a bad scanner.

Scanner part number is RM1-9135-000CN
