Just got my Officejet 5740, and cannot get my laptop to connect to it. I followed the instructions on downloading the software for the printer, and it installed properly. I also have this HP Aios Printer Remote that came on my laptop as well. I have connected the printer and set it as my default printer, but when trying to print items, a notification pops up on the top right corner saying that the printer is not hooked up to the network. However, the printer says that it is and I have connected it mulitiple times to check, and have also restarted my laptop and printer. I have gone onto the HP website and have downloaded many support tools but they cannot find the printer so they are useless. So in conclusion, I can see that my laptop and printer are wirelessly connected, yet when trying to use the printer it says it is not. Also tried on my phone using "All-in-One Remote" and it find it, and I can scan, but the actual printer says it is not connected to a network.
Thanks,
Lucas K

Hi @LucasK96,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're unable to print to your new HP Officejet 5740 Printer. I would be happy to help you with this.
Please download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will likely diagnose and resolve the issue you are experiencing.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Here's a document I would recommend that you try, 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!
