How did you fix this? i have same problem

Hello,

The error message is a Post Script error related to a specific font or text element. Several users have reported success by replacing any text using the Calibri font with another font. A second workaround to try would be to copy and paste the text of the document into a new document.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

I am not sure whether we now repeat the old discusssions or something new.

If you have pdfs that are corrupt this thread does not provide much help. Except: How were the pdfs created? If you used "print/pdf" with e. g. Pages (that was one typical example) and High Sierra there is a good chance that the pdf contains some problems. There were examples given earlier in the thread. "Problems" means if you create the document with Sierra then there is no problem. - If you want you may check the pdf or the underlying Postscript with Adobe Acrobat Pro or similar programs or as proposed by StretchMusic 03-06-2018 11:47 AM. In any case you should try to print with Adobe Reader using the option to print as image. - Of course, if the pdf is several corrupted then you cannot print it! Replace it, i. e.  create it in a different way.

If we still discuss what to do with the message (with HP printer and MacOS High Sierra 10.13 until 10.13.3)

ERROR: undefinedresult

OFFENDING COMMAND: xshow

or a printer not doing anything at all, when trying to print documents that are not corrupted then you can try several things:

1) Make sure your printer installation is OK. Several possible flaws were mentioned above, but usually they are not relevant.

2) The best solution in the sense that it seems to work always (and with High Sierra) was proposed above by "Prints_William", 02-08-2018 02:46 PM. You change the active ppd file to replace TTRasterizer: Type42 by TTRasterizer: None. There are several contributions that explain details how to do that in case you need further help. - Our experience here is that this works without any problems for several weeks by now. This even helps to print pdfs that are "a little bit" corrupt.

3) Wait until the firmware update to attack the problem is available for your printer. This was mentioned several times above. No negative comments are known to me. - For our HP Laserjet 500 color M551n this update is not yet available. So I cannot confirm the success.

4) Wait for the next release of High Sierra (10.13.4) or join the Beta.

5) You might try to use the Airprint driver for your printer (if available and all necessary extensions are installed, cf. some contributions above). This helps sometimes, but only sometimes.
