Hi!
I hope someone can help us! We just bought a HP All-in-one Officejet 6500 E709n series printer. It is hooked up and running. We can print web pages from Internet Explorer and can copy and scan. However - we do not like to use Internet Explorer. We use Mozilla Foxfire. (For greater security). The printer will not print web pages when we use Mozilla. We are assuming it has something to do with maybe a firewall connected to Mozilla, but we have no idea how to get around that. Can anyone help us with this?? Thank you very much.
Blessings,
Elaine P.

Your problem could be caused by having the browser add on HP Smart Web Printing trying to load for an older version of firefox, the latest version of Firefox 3.6.3 detects the add in and disables it.
If this is the case you can either upgrade to the latest version of Firefox or uninstall HP Smart Web Printing from the Control Panel.
I hope this helps.

Hi, what happens when you select "print preview" in Mozilla?

Hi!
When I check the "print preview" in Mozilla, the page(s) come up as they should, and when I click on "print" from there, still nothing. It still spits out the paper, but with nothing printed on them!! I am thinking that we are going to have to try and call the HP people and see if they can help us figure this out!

Sure give HP live chat a try.
Which ver. of FF are you using?
Check "Page Setup" in FF for correct margins.

I'm having the same problem with HP Photosmart Plus, all in One. I had no problem for the 2 months I had the printer and last week all of a sudden mine stopped printing from the web in Mozilla. I have had the tech support try to figure it out for a total of 2 hours and they could not find a solution. I'm using XP and the only thing they said was that I should upgrade to Windows 7. It is strange that it would work just fine for 2 months and then all of a sudden stop, but have no problem printing in IE. Nothing like purchasing a new printer to fail all of a sudden. Please someone help us.

We have given up on trying to print using Mozilla. A friend recommended that we download Google Chrome and try to print from that. It works! Google Chrome is excellent - it is secure and fast. We still use Mozilla as well, but if we want to print, we use Google Chrome. Hopefully HP will figure it all out one day! In the meantime, I am recommending using Google Chrome! Hope this helps!!!
