Hope someone can help...My magenta toner is not printing down the left side of my documents since I put in a NEW cartridge. You can see on the Supplies Status page that the magenta cartridge shows a faded level on the left while the other colors are bold. On the Self Test/Configuration page, the pink is faded or nonexistent on the left side. And on the Demo page, all the colors are off.

I've done everything I can think of:

- Took out the toner, shook it & replaced

- Recalibrated the colors under Print Quality

- Reset to Default Settings

- Ran Cleaning Mode

- Took ALL of the cartridges out & cleaned everything I could reach

- Put fresh paper in the tray

- Display Contrast is set at Medium

I'm at a loss. Hope someone out there has some fresh ideas, otherwise, to the printer-doctor I will have to go.

Thank you in advance.

If the issue started when you installed a new magenta cartridge then it is quite probable that you have a bad magenta cartridge. One bad cartridge can cause issues with other cartridges.

I thought that at first too...I'd put in a new Cyan and a new Magenta at the same time and one was HP and one was Staples and thought there could be something wrong with the cartridge or maybe it was because they were 2 different brands. So I went to Staples and exchanged them both for 2 new HP cartridges but it didn't solve the Magenta issue.  😞

Check the purity of the lens of the corresponding color - toner on the lens. It can be seen that there is no synchronization, the calibration failed, the text is beating. You may need to replace the cartridge, it turns out the method of replacing the original cartridges, in turn.

Fully block the laser scanner is not necessary - wipe the outside of the lens to start. Now, if it does not help, then even the mirrors will have to be cleaned.

Taking everything apart looks very involved...if I have to resort to that, I will. Hoping for a less invasive remedy.

Thanks for the info.
