HP LaserJet M402dne
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have a Qualys scan that keeps flagging some of my network printers. We recently bought new HP LaserJet M402dne printers thinking that we can easily disable the TLS 1.0 , SSLv2 and SSLv3 features and enable 1.2 but I dont see where I can do that.  There isn't a wizard under the Networking Tab > Security > Settings in the browser. Any thought on how I can disable TLS 1.0 ?

Great question.

I dug up an old thread where I found the TLS setting on a different model:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Disable-TLS-1-0-SSLv2-and-SSLv3/td-p/6141596

However, when I check my own M402 I see do not see similar options.  Perhaps modifying TLS is not an option with this model.  If you have current warranty with HP you could try giving them a call and see if one of the engineers can confirm or not.  If you find out then please post back and share the info with us.

Otherwise you may have to firewall off the protocol?
