Windows 8 v6.3 / Microsoft Word / HP Color Laserjet CP1510
Using same setup I've had for years, today I can't print a Word document to my color printer.
Pinter is on, loaded, connected. My home network and Word recognize printer, show Status Ready.
Issue print command in Word, document hits Print Queue, printer clicks ... then the document disappears from queue, message 0 documents in queue, but no output from the printer.
Same document will print to my other printer, HP Laserjet M15w.
Any suggestions?

One of my customers just had the exact same problem. They also could no longer print to Outlook. The problem is caused by Windows update KB4504418. Uninstall it, hide it from further installs, and Word/Outlook (maybe Excel?) go back to printing perfectly. It's just another poorly tested update.

Oh thank you, I do think that's the problem as that update installed yesterday and I discovered the problem first thing today. And, as you suggest, I can't print to the HP CP1510 from Outlook or Excel, either. Edited to Add: I can't print from *any* software to the CP1510.
I can print anything from anywhere to the HP M15w.
Problem now is, KB4504418 is a servicing stack update, and Microsoft says that can't be uninstalled "through usual methods". I am admin, and tried from Control Panel, wusa, and from Update History with no luck. How did you uninstall it?

That's strange because I was able to uninstall it. But when I went to check for updates again (to hide the update), it came up as KB4507448, which I hid. I didn't go through Update History, but through Installed Updates which was in the left bottom corner of the Windows update window. One of those 2 updates (4504418 and 4507448) had the uninstall option and one did not. I am positive that 4504418 had the uninstall option, which I used, but again, after I uninstalled it, 4507448 showed back up in the list to reinstall, and I hid it.

AHA! Spent 2 hours in Chat with MS tech support - elevated to Level 2, mind you, with remote control of system. They couldn't uninstall that update either. BUT - what finally worked - was just to completely uninstall and remove the CP1510 from the system and reinstall it with the same printer driver from 2017. And now it works, woohoo!
Thanks so much for your help with this, for pointing me to the KB 4504418. While MS didn't outright admit that caused the problem, they did give me the support for free because "it stemmed from system update".

I would have tried removing and reinstalling the printer driver, but it happened to BOTH of the customer's printers. And interestingly, both were HP Officejets. Both could print from every other app but Word and Outlook. It's odd that I could uninstall the update but you could not, but I am very glad that you got it resolved and hopefully MS will rework that update.
