HP LaserJet P1006
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I upgraded my OS to Mojave and now I can't print. I get this error:

Can’t install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.

Where can I get the software to allow me to print to this printer?

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

As per this document, HP Laserjet P1006 Printer is compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave and the driver is available via Apple Software Update. You may use the steps below to add a compatible driver:

1.) Use the steps available here to update the software on Mac.

2.) Connect the printer to Mac using a USB cable.

3.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

4.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

5.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.

6.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

7.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select the name of your printer in the Use menu

8.) Try to print.

Let me know how it goes!

What do you do if the printer doesn't show to be added?
