I put a new HP 78A cartridge in and am getting the same message. I looked at another 1536 printer and there is a green piece of plastic above where the cartridge is installed in that printer but it is missing on this one. What is it that is missing and can I get another green plastic item? Thank you.

Before I put a new cartridge in it would print one page then display the Paper Jam message. There is no paper jam. I opened the door to the cartridge and close it and then the READY would display. I would print one page then get the Paper Jam message again.

Thanks for letting me know that information serta1.
Do you mean the green piece plastic, when pushing up on it the black part flips down?
It wouldn't be a replaceable part, the printer would need to be serviced.
Update the printer's firmware. HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer Drivers.
Please check your private messages for a reset to try on the printer if you are still having issues.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
Thank You.

I had same problem today and I fixed it! I tried everything listed above and then I saw a video on youtube that references the 'cleanout door'. It's at the back of your HP1536. An inlaid handle, around 4'' down from center/back. Just grab and open and you'll probably find a whole sheet there waiting for you (just like I did). Pulled it out and printer is fine now!!! Good luck. TK

Hi @Dinnie,
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I see that you would like to know how to remove the fuser. I would like to help you out, but there isn't a service manual available.
What issue are you having with the printer that I might be able to help you with?
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
Have a nice day! Thank you.

After struggling with machine I found in the back of the printer another lid that you can open. Voila! Hidden in the back against the lid I found a sheet of paper that caused the jam.
Take the power off and plug it back in ... and all is back to normal.
Maybe good to share this with your customers.
