  • 51.00.23 Yellow laser/scanner error

Recommended action

  1. Turn the printer off, and then on.
  2. If the error persists, check that the 5V Interlock switch (SW1) is working correctly.
      note:
Both front and right doors share SW1. Ensure the flags that activate the switch are not broken. Replace the appropriate door if a broken flag is found.
    Part numbers:
    Front door
    RM2-0200-000CN
    Right door
    RM2-0208-010CN
  3. If the error persists, replace the affected laser/scanner.
For instructions: See the Repair Service Manual for this product.
    Part number: CZ248-67913
  4. If the error persists, check the flat flexible cable connection at the laser/scanner and connectors J110 and J111 on the DC controller.

I hope this may help,

Cheers!

51 errors are typically Laser Scanner related. I do not have access to my service documentation at the moment but will post back in 2 hours with exactly what that error means.

Open the front door and make sure that callout 1 and 2 in the photo below are both present. Callout 1 opens the shutter that covers the scanner when the door is open and I have had these fall off.

Thanks alot.

It worked. I switched off the device, and removed the power cable from t GB e socket. Then, I cleaned the lenses underneath the cartridges and then, connected back the power cable and power on the device. The code is no more and the device is working well.
