Firmware corrupt ready 2 download

Display shows "Firmware Corrupt Ready 2 Download" as soon as I turn in the printer. 

I have tried different combinations af button-pressing during startup without any help.

When I connect the printer with USB the computer don't recognize any printer on USB. I tried to download the installing software for the printer, but cannot get further than "Choose a printer" and the M451dn is not found.

Is there any hopy for my printer.

Most of time it means that the formatter is bad needed to be replaced.

Try to do an NVRAM to see if it helps.

NVRAM initialization procedure
1. Turn the product off.
2. Simultaneously press the right arrow button and the cancel button. keep these buttons depressed as you turn the product on.
3. When permanent storage init. appears on the display, release both buttons.
4. When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the ready state.

If it's not work then you can try to re-send firmware to see if it works.

Firmware download from HP and connect M451 to PC with USB-must be USB.

Before re-send firmware you must get driver installed in PC if you're not do it right now-USB001 002 003......

Now sending firmware if it's connected right you should see the processing on the LED screen.

If there's nothing showed up on the LED screen then change the connected port in the printer driner.

Right click the M451 printer driver ->printer property->connected port->change from USB001 to USB002 if still nothing happened then change from USB002 to USB003 ..... and so on......

May you have more than two USB00x (I get 65 USB001 002....065) use the one first that not occupied by any other printer.

You need to try one by one until it works but you may have failed in the end then you have to replace the formatter.

But this is what I already have tried 😞 

Turning on while pressing the two buttons - the error returns as the first message on the screen

Connecting to my pc - the pc doesn't recognize the printer as a printer.

And I am not able to install the drivers before my pc has "accepted" the printer.

How can I replace the formatter?

Yes you can't install driver automatically but you can install it manually.

I did it just now and i don't have M451 printer my pc runs Win7 x64.

Add new printer->Local port (LPT1)->seek driver from  C:\HP_LJ300-400_color_M351-M451 (the place where you just install automatic driver which it will be saved to)-> it works

Then change the connected prot from LPT1 to USB00x as what i said before.

Send firmware see what will happen.

My Win7 x64 is Chinese Edition is the same as your english edition.

Formatter is the one which you plug the USB cable into.

It seats under the right cover which is easily to be taken off.
