HP Envy 5544 will not print black ink. The Black ink levels still shows 3/4 full. Completed the three cleaning stages and the black ink is still not working but the colour ink is fine.

Your print heads are clogged or dried up. Attemp the cleaning steps mentioned in the user guide. If you cannot clean the print heads you will need to either soak them in a solution or replace them. The amount of remaining ink has nothign to do with the printheads drying up on you. The only way to keep an inkjet from clotting is to use it frequently. Sitting for long periods of time will eventually result in this problem, as is the nature of the liquid consumables that inkjets rely on.
