My LaserJet M1212nf will not print, and it has never printed. Everytime I create a print job, whether printing from a PC, copying something via the scanner, or printing a report from the menu, it goes through the following:
- Printer initalizes,
- While initializing, printer pulls in a piece of paper from tray,
- Paper stops part way in (looks to me like it's already passed the fuser, so it probably wouldn't print properly anyway) and then printer claims that there's a paper jam.
To emphasize, this printer has never successfully printed a single page. The print count is zero (0). I've never had a paper jam.
Note that regarding the position of the paper as it's pulled into the printer, I'm using letter sized paper, and the printer menu properly shows that it's set to accept letter sized paper. I double-confirmed by checking via the printer's web interface as well.
Any help?
To HP: If I can't get this issue resolved, I'll have gotten no value out of this MFP at all. It'll have been one big lemon and will likely sour any possibility of purchasing HP products in future, especially based on the support experience I've had so far, which has been nil. I've been trying to get official warrantied support, but despite me providing documented proof of purchase, my warranty has been back-dated to a before I purchased it, and now I can't get support contact options through the website. I've put in another warranty dispute, but based on past response times likely won't get an answer until after the one year warranty is officially over.

Follow up: HP Support contacted me on Tuesday. By Thursday I had a replacement printer on my doorstep. The replacement printer was set up and working within a half hour. The faulty printer's been shipped back. Thank you to all of the HP support people, I'm very satisfied with how you were able to mobilize and address my problem so quickly.
