My M426fdw LaserJet has started jamming every time I print or copy in duplex. Once in a while, it will print ok about 25% of the time. It prints just fine if I don’t duplex. It is one year old but hasn’t got over 2000 pages through it. I like it but the fact it doesn’t duplex just sucks. I can’t find anything on the internet concerning this problem with this printer. I would be grateful for your help in resolving this issue.

If the printer is jamming when you duplex then there is likely somethign wrong with teh paper path or the rollers in teh duplexing area. Printers can use either interal or external duplexing units to flip the paper around. Open up your printer and take a look around for problems. Swap down any rollers in teh duplexing area with a damp lint free cloth. If cleaning the rollers help then you might need to swap the rollers or the entire duplexing unit with a new one.

Where does the paper jam and is it a clean jam or is the paper crumpled? There is very little to go wrong and most times this issue is traced back to the fuser or broken flag in the duplex path. Any error codes.
