Dell 7040 Laptop with a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a brand new Dell computer. The drivers on this page: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-pro-p1102-printer-series/4110394/model/...

I can download. I run the driver, it goes through the .exe and gets to 100% but then no window pops up after that and the driver isn't installed. I try installing the Firmware Update, but even though the printer is connected by USB, it says no HP Printer detected. I installed the HP Print and Scan Doctor Diagnostic Utility, but again it says it cannot detect an HP Printer.

Yet, the computer sees it and connects to it.

The driver that I have, is on old driver and it causes the printer to print very slowly and gets confused if I send more than one job at a time to it.

Can anyone please help?
