HP Laserjet 1100w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ok gang here is my problem. I have an 1100w that is a great little printer. I have had this printer for several years and performed flawlessly. Recently I dropped my cable tv and went with the internet only. When I did this I recreated my wireless network with same name ans pass phrase. Then all of a sudden the 1100w quit printing i can't see it on the network, no problem I thought I will just reinstall it. I download the drivers from HP.com and extract and start to install. I go throuh the install until it ask me to configure the printer over a wireless network, I select that option and the install just disappears. I have tried using the technique of start>run>C:\LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution\HpSetup.exe and still reacts the same way, get to configure wirelessly and the program stops.

So does anyone have any suggestions? I am all ears and will try about anything. Wireless router is an Arris DG2470, the system is a windows 10 64bit install.

Try running HPSeup.exe As Admin.

Talking to network drivers, such as when setting up a printer over WiFi, is normally a restricted process.  If you are not elevating the installation wizard correctly then you might see the behavior you described.  All you should have to do is right click the .exe and choose run as Admin.
