I am having trouble with my printer! It looks as if a hair is caught inside since every print has a squiggly line on it, the line is not always in the same place but follows a fairly similar profile. Does anyone have any ideas? I wondered if it was the fuser, but I am not keen on dismantling the whole machine, so can’t have a look!
Please help, need it more than ever as we are all stuck at home...
thank you!

If it appears once on a print then more likely it is something stuck to the transfer belt and not the fuser. Open the cartridge door, remove all the toners and look at the mylar belt that sits under the cartridges. You may need to reinstall cartridges and let printer cycle in order to see the whole belt as it is not possible to rotate the belt manually without risking damage.

Thank you, I think I found the mylar belt & pulled the cartridge draw in & out several times removing the yellow to inspect, but I could not see anything. It does occur once on every sheet, but from top to bottom with what looks like a repeat pattern.
Thank you for your help, it sounds as if you know a lot about printers so I really hope you can solve it!

It's weird because if it is the mylar belt then it should be happened at the exactly the same place (coordinate) on every page and it shouldn't appear itself higher or lower.
In this situation it looks more likely that it is the black toner cartridge which is the issue. Since all you offered pictures were only b/w and with no color so if it only influences black printing then it should be the black toner cartridge is the problem. And if it is right you can take it out and examine the drum and turn it with your thumb from both ends to check if there's something there which it is not should be.
But if it is all four colors which are effected than it should be the mylar belt. You still can turn it around with your thumbs at rear door opening and you'll see the mylar belt, turn it around at both ends to check if there's anything wrong.
And if you really find out something on there you can use a cloth with some alcohol to clean up it, it works to the drum too.
Just reminding when you turn the drum and mylar belt it'd better to wash and clean your hands first because you surely don't want to leave clearly oil pollution or fingerprint drum and mylar belt which if you've really done it you'll find something you don't like when printing.
